The mission of Go Build is to enhance the image of the construction industry and inform young people and their “influencers” about career opportunities in the craft trades.
“Go Build Ambassadors” exemplify the spirit of Go Build as the proud, elite group helping to build a better tomorrow. As the future of our country’s construction industry, they understand there’s nothing they can’t accomplish with their own two hands – they don’t just operate tools, they are tools. They are the keys to their livelihood, providers for society’s progress and catalysts for change.

There’s endless opportunity in Tennessee’s construction industry – what inspired you to pursue a career in the skilled trades? The inspiration to become an electrician was the dynamics of the job. There are so many opportunities in this field.
What are your plans after completing your training? My plans after completing my training is to grow my career either in residential or commercial services.
For young people who might be considering a career in construction, what advice would you share? My advice would be don’t be intimidated. I was always taught that you can’t go wrong with a trade. You will always have a career in any field that you choose.
What’s the best part about working on a job site? I have met people in all different aspects of this job that are more than willing to help you in any way. Working for Stansell Electric is more than a job to me, its team work and somewhere I look forward to going every day.
