Go Build TN & Adventure Science Center: Touch A Truck Day
Join us this Saturday, November 4th from 10AM – 3PM for "Touch a Truck"Day at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN. Go Build Tennessee has partnered with the Adventure Science Center to offer engaging, interactive activities for children and adults that showcase equipment and highlight careers in the construction industry. After posing for photos in front of heavy equipment vehicles provided by local construction companies Stansell Electric, Regent Homes, Regent Footings, Thompson Machinery, Scott Equipment, and SRM Concrete, visitors can stop by the Go Build booth to learn more about training opportunities throughout the state's construction industry. Featuring a bucket truck, mini excavator, skid steer, pressure digger truck, cement mixer, forklift, compact loader, backhoe, and dump truck, these massive pieces of machinery make all the construction around the city possible. By putting these vehicles on display alongside interactive construction-themed exhibits – such as a the Center's latest "Build a Building" virtual reality experience – we hope to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-life applications. Ready to get to work? Visitors can stop by the Mobile Job Center hosted by the American Job Center Tennessee to learn more about available openings in the industry.
Located in the upper parking lot of the museum, this event is free and open to the public. Standard museum rates apply to explore the Adventure Science Center, including their latest virtual reality "builder" exhibit (ages 13 and over) and some special construction-themed activities inside such as creating cup towers, exploring different wheels, and comparing motors!
