New Expo Dec. 8 Will Showcase Construction Careers For High School Students

Hamilton County Schools and AGC East Tennessee are partnering to present a Construction Career Expo this Friday for 10th grade high school students interested in exploring career opportunities in the construction industry.

“The Career Expo is designed for 10th-grade students from Hamilton County who express interest in the construction trades,” organizers said. “Participants will have the chance to experience hands-on demonstrations with heavy equipment and tools, gaining valuable insights into diverse career paths within the field.

Local construction employers specializing in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, construction management and other related areas will lead engaging demonstrations and interactive activities.”

The expo will take place from 9:30 a.m-3:30 p.m. at Construction Career Center, 2225 Roanoke Ave. in Chattanooga. Interested 10th grade Hamilton County Students and their parents are invited to attend.

“The purpose of this event is to enhance students’ comprehension of the construction industry, offering them the chance to connect with industry experts and educators and gain valuable insights into potential careers in the field,” organizers said.
